  • Vienna Imperial latency - Standalone: Awfull, With Cubase: perfect. Why ?

Hello, Sorry for my bad Inglish, i'm french. I've a probème with Vienna Imperial that i've just bought. It works perfectly in Cubase but in standalone mode the latency is awfull. It's like the Samples rates/latency 's preference did not have any effect in StandAlone Mode. In Cubase, no problem ! i can run the VSTI all at full, with no latency (0.7ms) The librairy is installed on a PCI express SSD Drive, a Revodrive 3 x2 from OCZ, my Sound card is a PCIe card, a RME Hdspe AES, my CPU is a i7 3930k and i've 32Go Ram installed... Please, thx for your help !

  • Perhaps you haven't selected the correct audio driver in the preferences of the standalone application. Make sure to select the correct ASIO driver there.

  • You're right ! I Selected "rme aes 1&2 output" instead of "rme hammerfall". Now it's ok. BUT, i must to select the rate and buffer direclty In the rme setting window and not in the vienna imperial because it works bad sometime, and i noticed that i can't get "32" of buffer in vienna setting wheras in rme setting it's possible.

  • Set the latency to "Def." in Vienna Imperial's Preferences, then the driver's latency will be used.

Note: The convolution-based built-in reverbs won't work with latencies as low as 32 samples.

  • Yes, that's what i made however ! OK, so 32 sample is ok if i don't use convolution reverb. I understand why i had "clipping sound" with this convolution now :)
