  • How to see all VEPRO5 "ports" from my DAW (SONAR)?

In one VEPRO5 instance there can be more than one "port", actually 4 by default, each with 16 MIDI channels. From my DAW I can only access the first port. How to access the other ones? If in VEPRO5 I load an instrument in, say Port 2 channel 1, I cannot access it. BTW I know I can load multiple instances of VEPRO5 to get more channels; my question is how to get more than 16 channels in ONE instance of VEPRO5. Thank you!

  • AFAIK Sonar doesn't use VST3, so I think you're out of luck. To see multiple MIDI ports you need either to use a VST3 host, such as Cubase, or Pro Tools, which uses RTAS, which also allows multiple MIDI ports.

  • I did not realize that this was a VST3-only feature. I also have Cubase 7 so i will look into it or... maybe just wait for VST3 support in SONAR X2 (hopefully). Thanks again DG!
