    Has anyone figured out the best way to use both expression maps and controllers.

    The problem is that you can not use both to do the same thing because if you use a keyswitch in the expression map the incoming keyswitch is blocked ( or reserverd might be a better description.) 

    So it seems you have to use keyswitches to control the expression map which controls VIPro but that is extremely limiting.

    Has anyone else come up with a better process.

    Perhaps it is better to unload the expression map when recording the part and load it in after?

    Any tips would be most appreciated.

    I agree expression maps are not the most flexible. I'm not trying to play stuff live with keyswitches, so I only use CC's as keyswitches now. I have Lemur where I have a grid 12x12, so I just need to press once to have both the X and Y inputted. I also use A/B with CC now, since in Cubase it's possible to attach CC's to notes with key commands, so no loose notes in you score!
