    Hello

Your new web site IS VERY NICE

One thing that is still missing :

If you have part of the articulation an instrument or of a group of instruments, it will be very helpfull to click and have what articulation you get in supplement if you purshase this upgrade

    Best

  • Wish I could say the same - I generally like everything VSL does but this is not a step forward.  Having blank columns either side looks like you want to run advertising down the side, which makes the content more bunched up.  The text is uncomfortably small in some columns e.g. on this community page and the colours don't make it easy to read.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Agreed, the font size is to small and black text on a grey background is hard to read.

  • Although I suppose I get the thing about the text being small, for the most part the new site is a HUGE improvement. Nice work!

Black text?! On a grey background?! You might want to get your eyes tested ๐Ÿ˜Š morelike dark grey text on a light blue background. It looks fine to me. You can't please everyone.

I personally love the new website. Great work VSL!

No need to be rude, and actually my eyesite, like a lot of others, isn't perfect. The colored background on the forum posts does make it hard to read. That's probably why VSL went with black text on a white background for the majority of text on the rest of their site.

If there was a way to change the text and background color of the forums I'd really appreciate it. I get the color scheme the designer is using, and for the main site it works well for the header, navigation buttons, etc... but for the forums, at least for me, it's a case of style getting in the way of functionality. btw there's nothing wrong with giving a compnay feedback about their site or products.

Sorry - did not mean to offend you. Was just teasing ๐Ÿ˜

Maybe if they changed the font from grey to black that would help a great deal?

I am loving the Trailer videos - they really show off the libraries.

  • People's reaction to website design is by its nature highly subjective as can be seen from the responses, but Michael is correct that people are perfectly entitled to express their views particularly when they are genuinely supportive of the company and want to raise what they see as legitimate issues.

I fail to see what is "great design" about the excessive use of white space - see the screen paste below. This reminds me of the 'lowest common denominator" that Microsoft went for with Windows 8 across PCs and tablets.  It meant people using PCs and laptops who wanted an efficient interface felt compromised.

As I scroll down this page it seems ridiculous that the main content is such as small % of the visible screen estate - maybe it looks different on a different OS or platform e.g. tablet (I'm Windows 7 / laptop).

If I didn't care about VSL and have such a high expectation of their work I wouldn't have bothered commenting and I fully accept that people will have different views, but personally I think it could be better.

  • We've updated the styling of the forum postings today.
Hopefully we found a a happy medium of nice design and readability now.

  • Yes I do find it more readable now - thanks for listening

I do appreciate how much work goes into a site refresh like this and my comments were specific to the forum pages which in my case is my normal form of interaction with the site.

Well done to the team for the overall work
