I had just finished this demo piece, combining Vienna solo voices with the concert choir when I heard the sad news about Peter Alexander's passing. Since the piece didn't have a title yet and seem fitting, I thought it would be a nice tribute to him.

Oh no! I interacted several times with Peter. A good man. God be with his wife Caroline.

Guy, a Google search returns nothing. I assume you have good sources. I am SO sorry to hear this, and my prayers are with his family.

EDITED TO ADD: Now I see from his Facebook page that this is indeed true. A very sad day.

A very sad day indeed.  I only interacted directly with him a couple of times, but knew him to be an outstanding individual.  He will be sorely missed.

Sad news indeed.

I spoke to him a couple of times.

I really liked his approach to teaching.

What a lovely way to remember him.

Cubase (OS agnostic). Various VSL bits and pieces.

Very sad -- and shocked -- to hear this, as I had just dealt with him recently, and had no clue. Of course, I've seen no details as of yet so don't know if it was long-term health-related or a complete shock to everybody.

Peter was a joyful educator and generous with his time.

Judging from my encounters with Peter, I believe he would have found this tribute very, very fitting... a VSL choir & voices production worthy of a great virtual instrument enthusiast and professional orchestrator he was.

I like to think so. Peter Alexander's son, Chris, asked me if it would be ok to use this piece for the memorial service, naturaly I was fine with that request and glad it could serve as a tribute during the memorial.

I thought myself this piece would be very suitable for a memorial service. Subdued and tasteful, with solemn gravitas to it - excellent work.
