Orchestral Strings vs Chamber Strings?

Are Orchestral Strings the same as Chamber Strings?

I have the Special Edition and Special Edition Plus and my strings say Orchestral

Can anyone clarify?

They are not the same. The chamber strings have less players in the ensemble. For example, there are 6 chamber violins versus 14 orchestral violins. This means that the chamber strings have an edgier, less homogeneous sound, and you hear more of the individual players. The sound of the orchestral strings is more lush and smooth by comparison.

In addition to Beats conclusive demos: here you can listen to different versions of the same piece, done with different string libraries. You can immediately hear how different the chamber strings sound compared to larger string sections.
