  • VEPro5 license and TB connectivity basics?

I have a new MBP, old MP and am about to take the plunge with VEPro5...

    - To use Epic orch on the MBP and VEPro5 on the slave MP, will I need two eLicenser USB dongles?

    - Does VEPro5 work over TB2->Ethernet adaptors, are there any issues?

    - Does VEPro5 work over TB2 docks with Ethernet adaptors, any issues?

    Dock e.g. https://www.elgato.com/en/thunderbolt/thunderbolt-2-dock

    Thanks in advance;)

  • Hi Target,

Epic Orchestra comes with one license, so you can only use it on 1 computer at a time.

Network adapters should work fine. VE PRO 5 relies on a stable GigaBit Ethernet connection.

Thanks for the reply... just to clarify. I see now in the product description: 3 VEPro5 licenses and 1 Epic Orch license is included. I have a semi-portable MBP plus MP slave set up so I am trying to work out how many dongles to buy...

    - If I want to run VEPro5 and Epic Orch on my MBP master, and VEPro5 on my MP slave, can I do this with one license and two dongles?

  • Hello Target,

You will need 2 eLicenser keys, one containing 1 EO and 1 VE Pro license, the other one containing 1 VE Pro license (for the slave computer).

    Best,
    Paul
