  • where is "help" on VI web site?

On the vsl web site I cannot find any help or support. I am having some issues and need some help

Jazz drums and upright bass are not listed in my patch library even though they are there.

Vienna ensemble crashes when I open Vienna Instruments pro.

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET HELP FROM VIENNA INSTRUMENTS WEB SITE?????

  • This is the place.  When I have a problem, I approach it like this:

    1.  I try to figure it out intuitively.

    2.  I read the manual, and continue trying to figure it out.

    3.  I post here, keep reading the manual, and continue trying to figure it out while I wait for some help.

    Responses come pretty quickly.

As fas as your question is concerned, give us your system specs (hardware, OS, etc), and the DAW, or notation program you're using (if any).  Or let us know if you're running in stand-alone mode (it sounds like you might be).

Did you run your Directory Manager to tell VEP/VEI where your samples are?

  • Hello James,

I have also just replied to your support request by email.

ad 1. Please launch Directory Manager from your Vienna Instruments Pro folder, remove all entries from the list and manually reassign all your VSL sample data folders directly from the Finder/Explorer by Drag & Drop(!) - does that make a difference?

ad 2. Please always include at least basic information about your system, i.e. CPU, OS (Mac or Windows?), RAM, exact versions of all involved software and drivers...etc..., so we can better help you!
Are there any error messages involved? Screenshots and crash logs/dump files would definitely help!

    Best, Marnix
