Hey Gang,

It's been two years since I posted this message so thought I would try again in case I missed this in an update.

Is there any way to "Send" midi from a "Slave" computer. I have Arturia Spark which comes with it's own controller which has to be on the same computer as the Spark software. So I need the Spark controller to send midi back to the "Master" computer in order to record the Midi data.

Maybe someone from VSL could chime in? Maybe put it on the "Feature Request" to-do list?

Thanks for any help/suggestions,
-mike

Hello mike,

That´s not possible right now, but I´ll add it to the wish-list for upcoming features.

Best,
Paul

I have a related issue. Can anyone give me advice on how to get a vst synth to work through VEPro? I'm trying to use Arturia Analog lab as a plugin VSTi  but the program can't seem to find it or the Tyrell synth that I have.
Reaktor works fine as does Melda power synth.

Look into using midi over lan. There are paid options such as iPmidi (http://www.nerds.de/en/ipmidi.html) or free options such as rtpmidi (http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/software/rtpmidi.html). If you have a mac, you are already capable of doing this under the midi/audio settings in utilities. If you are on PC, you need either of those programs to do so. This does work if you are want to send data between PC and Mac. Through this method, I do believe you are able to reroute audio as well, but if you have your instrument hosted in VEP and you are triggering events through midi over ethernet, you most likely wouldnt have to do that. I have not tried doing what you have suggested yet. I only recently started incorporating this into my workflow.
