  • Extend range of top note of Chamber Strings patch 2 semi-tones?

    Perhaps a noob question, but...

I've got Chamber Strings, VE Pro and recently I got VI Pro.

The top note of the violin in CS is C. I need a D. (Note to Vienna... the 'real' players in my local orchestra can hit that 'D' so it would be great if we could get that... someday....) Anyhoo.

Since I got VI Pro, I've been using the pitch bend 'trick' to get that 'D'. But... is there a way to actuallly -add- a new note (ie. the D) in a VIP Preset? If so, how?

It's kind of a pain to manually do the pitch bend thing (especially with ostinati)

    TIA,

    ---JC

  • You can extend the range of any instrument in VI Pro (look for an arrow symbol in the top right corner of the virtual keyboard in the "advanced" mode).

    You da MAAAAN.

At the risk of sounding -whatever-.... I always forget that Vienna is like a LOT of Euro products (like my Zanuzzi washing machine). They never met an inscrutable or hidden icon/feature they didn't like.
