Hi

I have a rather big setup with the use of VEP. After I installed win 10 enterprise I've been having some issues with loading times.

It seems like loading up samples inside of VEP takes a LOT more time now then before. It also get stuck for around 2-3 minutes before it starts to load up more instruments inside of VEP.

Is this a Win10 issue? Maybe it has to do with memory allocations ? A bit sad that it takes longer time now to load up VEP.

Anyone else had this kind of issues?

Best
Ryan

Hello Rayan,

Which plug-ins are you loading inside VE PRO? Can you identify specific plug-ins that slow down the loading process?

Paul

Hi Rayan,

VE PRO is only the host, the loading process is still managed by the plug-ins. What does NI support say to this? I´m sure they have tested their products on the various OS´s and might have a solution available for you.

Paul

My VE PRO experience with Win 10 is fine. I also use Kontakt in two of my tracks. I guess maybe the VST initialization takes a tiny bit longer than under Win 7.

Hi

I found out what the fault was. You have to desable the virus-scan thing on win 10. For me thatwas removed when I install the Nod32 antivirus. Now it loads much quicker.

Hi, I have the same problem with East West Quantum Leap instances.

Every Instance loads pretty fast, but between every instance there is at least one minute where nothing happens  and so everything gets very slow.

Which virus-scan thing did you remove exactly?

The increased load time seems to be relatively new.

I don't know, it's the first time I work with Windows.

But I have loading times at about 26 minutes.

I contacted both Vienna and East West support.

Vienna support said it is a East West Problem, East West said, they will bring an update, but so far nothing has happened yet. I'm not quite sure that this is not an Vienna problem as here are some people who have problems with different plugins...
