Is the included library with VE Pro 5 the same one as in Kontakt's Vienna Orchestra? Asking because I don't want a clone of the same sounds.
Main: Intel i7-2600K 20GB RAM, OS on SSD, Win 7 x64, RME 9652 + RME Babyface Slave: VisionDAW i7 920, 16GB RAM, Win 7 x64 Reaper v4/Cubase 7.5 + VE Pro 5

Hi,
To be more precise: They have the same root material.
I think it was around 2004 that these 16 bit samples were given to Native Instruments, and they mapped them. No changes there.
We have re-edited 90% of our 16 bit samples, so that they would fit the (then new) Vienna Instruments Engine (that comes with 24 bit quality and many special features).

Thanks, but in K5 they've provided the 24-bit samples. Are you saying even with these the programming makes the VIE sound different from the library included in K5?

Hi,
The content of the Epic Orchestra is definitely different than what´s in the Kontakt Library.
I´d say, more than 80% of the Epic Orchestra is additional content: The Appassionata Strings, Epic Horns, Fanfare Trumpets and both legato instruments (oboe d´amore and cornet) are only available in the Epic Orchestra (and were not even recorded when we provided NI with the samples).
Hope that helps!
Best, Paul

Thanks - I'll download them then.
