  • VE Pro 5 with Logic X - bouncing stems

Although this question was previously posted, it was misunderstood and thus never answered. Using Logic X, I am wondering how people setup VE Pro to allow them to do 2 things: 1) batch export audio bounces of individual tracks - ie. using Logic's 'export to audio files' (bounce audio in place is essentially the same). 2) Allow individual tracks to be controlled in volume independently of one another. I understand how to use multis and VE pro and currently have a large template; creating new multi, selecting 1 track, adding additional tracks using the + on channel strip. Whilst these auxes (with corresponding midi channels set) allow individual volume control, linked with multi outs in VE Pro and, say, Kontakt, you are not able to batch export individual tracks to audio...although the Logic X manual suggests you can. Two options in now considering are a) using individual soft instr tracks with loads of instances, or b) creating a multi-instrument, selecting '16' tracks, then creating 15 auxes to enable the individual volume controls. I envisage some hiding to keep things tidy, but would this still raise the problem with bouncing to audio. I have spent all day today manually bouncing, one by one, tracks; a job that should have take 1/2hr, so am desperate for people's advice. (I've contacted Apple and, whilst they are able to replicate the setup, they are unsure why the export function doesn't work - it's grayed out because channels are auxes, not soft inst or audio channels, despite the accepting the manuals says it's possible).
