  • Maximum number of audio channels via gigabit

    Hi,

Does anybody have knows what the maximum number of audio channels via gigabit is between a Mac and his SlavePC?

    Running Nuendo 7 and VE6

I hope i can have a 100 stereo channels for direct input in the Nuendo Mixer.

This way you can totally mix everything in Nuendo and leave the Template untouched and the same for all projects.

  • Hello Geert,

One sample of audio is 4 bytes in size. So if the samplerate is 44100, for a single channel of audio, 44100*4 bytes is the size for one second of audio. 32 audio channels would thus mean 32*44100*4 = 5644800 bytes per second.

So for,e.g.,  32 active audio outputs, VE Pro only needs up to 5-6 MB/s.

    Best,
    Paul

Nuendo is able to remote-control and automate your complete mix within VE Pro, while still leaving the actual template untouched. VE Pro's Automation Mapping (F5) is especially useful when your template doesn't change a lot.

    Kind regards,
