I run Cubase 8.5 on macpro with two slaves both macpro. In a large project all with VSL instruments with MIRx on VEPro6 on 2 slaves I find that changing tempos in Cubase using ramp create CPU spikes and stops the audio. Do you think this has anything to do with VEPro6?

Sorry for the delay - a gig came up. I used AsioGuard because somewhere I read that although VEPro didn't worked that well with AG some had luck with setting the buffer to 2 and AG to normal.
I changed the settings to no AG and the cpu spikes is still there. On VI-Control - or was it Cubase Forum at Steinberg - I was told it was an old bug.
