Hi,
I´m pretty new to VEP, and am trying to set up a default template. I´ve watched some tutorials, such as the Groove3 one by Eli Krantzberg - but most are very Logic specific. I want to be able to process heavy plugins on my Slave computer, such as soft synths and Send FX.
Regarding sends, it seems that I can not have separate return tracks in Ableton? My setup routes audio from send channel in Ableton (via "Audio Input" AU plugin) to instances in VEP, and back to "Master" return tracks in Ableton (via "Server Interface" AU plugins) when the desired processing has been performed. But if I for example want to have both delay and reverb send tracks, I have to have two "Instances" in my metaframe? In short: there can only be one master output per instance as I see it? This is a problem if I want to make a big project with many separate audio return tracks. Maybe I´m missing something? Check the screen shot below, where each FX track has its own project window:

My routing is as follows:
- Audio source in Ableton sends audio to Send channel.
- Send channel forwards the audio to VEP through an Audio Input AU
- The VEP Instance picks up the audio signal and processes it through an audio channel, which is routed to the Master Bus.
- The Master Bus returns the audio signal to Ableton through the Server Interface AU plugin.
Is there no way to return the audio to Ableton but through the Server Interface plugin?
My Ableton setup is as follows:

TIA for any reply!

Hi Sivesgaard,
Did you increase the Audio Outputs for VE PRO in the VE PRO Preferences? You can send audio back to your DAW on multiple Audio Tracks, if you like.
I´ll add that to the VE PRO manual as soon as possible (it is shown for quite some DAW´s in the Routing chapter at the end of the VE PRO manual).
Best, Paul
