    Hi,

    I can't figure out why the VSL Alto Flute long patches have this super long release. I took the reverb off and it still has this really long tail. The other woodwinds don't have this problem they are very dry.

    I'm probably missing something really obvious. I did a little video so see if this would help explain what I mean.

    Hi Aaron,

    It seems that your " Rel" (Release) controler in VI is set to a maximum value of 127.
    At least I can reproduce the sound similar to your audio example, when rising up Release Controler to 127
    Default value should be 63, in the middle position.

    Hi Herb,

    You nailed it, that was the problem.  I have no idea how the setting got changed.  I must have done it by accident.  Anyway, thank you for solving it.  I woudln't have figure that out in a million years.

    These VSL woodwinds are so incredible and I was bummed that I couldn't use the alto flute.
