    Hey all,

     

    I'm using VEP 4 wit cubase.   I use a remote instance for my strings.    For some reason, the fader for the strings track in the remote vienna server seems to constantly be shifting downwards.   I can only assume there's an errant cc message somewhere that cubase is sending it.   What cc# should I be looking for to edit out.

    Hi F, 

    That depends on your settings. I´d check Parameter Automation Settings in VE PRO and CC 7 und CC11 (Volume and Expression). Also check that your connected MIDI devices are not sending any data...

    Thanks for the info, this has never happened to me in all the years I've used VEP.   Where exactly are the Parameter Automation Settings?   I have cc7 and 11 running, but those normally only affect the instances of Kontakt and Play on their respective midi channels.

    Hi F, 

    Could well be that this feature wasn't available with VE PRO 4 yet... In VE PRO 5 it´s under "View" => Automation Mapping. But if you don´t know what it is, you probably have not used it. 

    I´d compare the other (working projects) and check  the List Editor of Cubase.

    Paul, Thanks for getting back to me. I've checked everything and can't find the cause. The weird thing is that it only happens upon sequence load. Once I set the fader to unity it stays that way through playback of the sequence. All the best Boris Ps- I have version 6 but can't switch mid project.
