No VEP6 server showing on Windows 10 Pro 64bit.

I updated yesterday to the new VEP6 and there was no server to connect any more.

Today I updated to the newest update VEP 6.01612 again, but I can not connect to any server, because there is no server in the list to assign any more.

Did you try a reboot of your computer already?

Yes, I rebooted and deactivated the (windows10 pro 64bit creators) firewall and rebooted to see if there is any server available, but there is none.

OK, just to be 100% sure: Did you check that you started the VE PRO SERVER, not the Standalone version?

You can start the server from the START menu => all programs => Vienna Ensemble PRO

Yes, I started all 4 hosts. Server64, Server32, Standalone32 and Standalone64. And I loaded into every host an audio plugin like soundtoys microshift in 64bit and tc-powercore MD3(32bit). In cubase 8.5 I have to load the audioin that works, but in wavelab9 I can not insert the tc- powercore MD3 (32bit) finalizer into the master-section. So it seems, that I have to use jrbridge to use my 32bit tc-powercore effects in wavelab9. I hoped to use VEP for that task. In cubase8.5 only the internal vst-rack seems to be able to connect to the VEP-32bit-server.

Hi Marcus, 

Please add a VE PRO instrument plug-in in your sequencer to connect to the VE PRO Server. 

Once this is done, you can add an Audio Insert plug-in that uses this existing connection.

Your workaround seems to work, but it is uncomfortable to configure for me.

I had to create an instrument in cubase9 and then I could use an audio track with an inserteffect to VEP with the audio-plugin in the VEP-server.

As long as I only need to bridge a 32bit vst-plugin I will use jbridge, because it does what it should do more comfortable for me. It's more straight forward to me.

I have this problem too! I have two users on my computer. 

One has VEP x64 server start instance, the other does not. Both have corrupted start menu icons that do nothing.

I can search for the correct instance on the one user, probably due to an older install. But this user is corrupted.

I need a workaround. Reinstall still has broken icons on start menu.

Please send version information of VE PRO and screenshots of any corrupted icons to support@vsl.co.at, and include more details about your OS.
