  • Solo Violin (Recording with two patches) Live. No edits

I enjoy playing this passage of Bach, and playing it in one shot with all of the errors (this is how I judge any string library), This is with 2 patches of the many that I still enjoy working with, but I almost always feel that I get a more realistic sound with less patches and having the luck of knowing why not to play a 5 note run with your fingers on a keyboard with any fingers passing underneath to create a scale when it will sound most realistic using two hands to play it live. This is a hobby for me, but I hope that it demontrates a solo instrument with notes hitting on the keyboard consistent with the bow direction and limitations of the strings.

I recorded a version of this a few years back as an example of the joy string players can have when we they we can use the least amount of editing and just play a section.

This recording was live with the Solo Violin 2 Std Lib and the PerfVibratoPatch and DIm4s (open string left open). One other recording I use one single note from the Sustained NonVib.

    Mistakes are lessons learned.

Excellent libraries are defined by how great an instrument can sound with one patch or two patches.

Used MirX plugin (The best invention for non-engineers) for violin placed in center), expression wheel isn't used. For comparison, Janine Janson has a Version of this available on YouTube.

Only 3 keyswitches. (A version of the section played only with 1 patch is also included).
