  • DCOM connection to program 'Synsopos.exe' failed. Error:

    Hello folks,

I am running 7 PC slaves with the last version of VEPro 5, running Windows 10. On two of the slaves I am getting the following message:

DCOM connection to program 'Synsopos.exe' failed. Error: The object invoked has disconnected from its clients"

All my Slave PCs are offline and Auto-updates is turned off. How do I fix this issue and why after a year or more am I getting this message on two machines? If I click OK (over and over again) they connect and function fine.

Thanks for your help in advance!

  • Hi,

I'm get this message when I accidentally pull out my eLicenser before I closed every application that is protected by it.
Maybe this is your problem? Or something with your eLicenser or USB port is not ok (are you using an USB-hub?).

    Best, Ben

  • Thanks for the reply Ben,

Actually, that is not the case. The PCs are all rack mounted with the USB dongle in the back. I never unplug them. Just strange to me that all 7 of the PCS are running the same version of Windows and VEPro 5 and only two of them are doing this. None of the computers are online and automatic updates is OFF.

I just have to click my brains out to get the error message to stop and then I can work. Not a deal breaker but a pain in the ARS...  It would be nice to make this go away!

    Thanks,

    Rik

  • I would try to update the eLicenser software first. Also use a different USB port (if you have no free ports, switch it with some other device).

If nothing of the things above works, try using different eLicenser dongles.

  • I also just started receiving this error message.  All software is up to date and I've tried different USB ports on my windows slave machine.  On 2nd or 3rd try, usually works fine after that.

One of my slave computers has now stopped giving me the error message. But one keeps on giving me the message when I exit VSL after a session. It loads fine. I just have to keep clicking my brains out to close out the program.

  • I would try to look for a solution here: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&query=elicenser

If there is no solution on the bottom is a "Submit a Ticket" button.
(eLicenser and the eLicenser Control Center are Steinberg's products)
