Summer greetings to all VSL users, forum members and all other musicians here!

Starting with the 1st of September I will be holding a new three-part series of free live trainings on the new Synchron Player, Vienna Instruments (PRO) and the use of Synchron Strings (and other Synchron Series libraries) with both players.

You can find all the details here.

    If you wish to attend,
do register soon to save your spot!

IMPORTANT FOR UNITED STATES, CANADA AND OTHER WESTERN HEMISPHERE RESIDENTS:

Even if most of you won't be able to attend the live event itself due to time difference (9 am CET is nighttime in the Western Hemisphere), don't be discouraged - you should definitely register for the training, as you'll be able to watch the full replay, (including the Q&A session), which will be available for 48 hours after the training has ended.

Furthermore, you'll also be able to send me your questions directly from the replay page - just as if you had attended the Q&A session!

If you'll have any further questions, please post them to this thread or write to me at art-of-vsl[at]mailbox.org

I wish you all pleasant summer days and will stay in touch with news concerning the September trainings to keep you updated.

    Goran

Dimensions vs. Matrices & Cells - Live Training Preview Nr.1

One of the main topics we will be going through in the upcoming Synchron Player/VI (PRO) training sessions will be a detailed comparison between the two "content structure providers" of Synchron Player and VI (PRO) respectively - Dimensions vs. Matrices & Cells.

We will go through both differences and similarities in the way they handle the structuring and the playback control of used patches/articulations, to see which of the two approaches is best suited for which purpose (and, accordingly, when best to use one or the other).

Slots in Synchron Player & Vienna Instruments (PRO) - Live Training Preview Nr.2

The smallest library patch/articulation containers - slots - have many things in common across the two players. However, there are some very important differences one should keep in mind when choosing which player to work with for a particular musical purpose.

As with dimensions & matrices, we will go through both differences and similarities in the way slots work in Synchron Player vs. Vienna Instruments (PRO) to establish which of their respective advantages are best suited for solving particular performance shaping tasks.

Enjoy your summer days and remember to
register soon to save your spot!
