I realy would like VEP utilized with a (Cubase like) plugin manager. Seeing all UAD (mono+stereo) plugins via an oldskool menu is a real workflow killer here. I thought VEP6 would eventualy get such a feature, but I can't find the post anymore.
@developers: When can we expect a 6.1 update? With a plugin manager

Hi,
That is always the tricky question: When?
I'm afraid I can't answer it, but an improved plug-in manegement is quite high on the priority list.

Hi,
Yes, perhaps.
Personally, I never understood which advantages VST3 in VE PRO would bring. Can you enlighten me?

I guess the main advantages Steinberg created VST3, but for me personal having only VST3 plugins installed for consistency. I run VEP also on the same host as Cubase. Now I need to install also VST2 on that host. But I understand this isn't a strong business case for Vienna to implement VST3.
The adaptation of VST3 is verry verry slow. If I'm correct Native Instruments isn't VST3 at all. A small amount of plugins are VST3 only. See: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7508745 These are probably new developed plugins, cause rewriting excisting plugins could be an intensive job.
But a plugin manager would be much much more appreciated :-)
Cheers,
Martijn

One more thing we would like to point out at this stage: with the release of the VST 3.6.11, the SDK for VST 2 has officially been discontinued. We are happy that third-party developers are now looking forward and will continue VST plug-in development with the SDK of VST 3.
