    Hello,

    I am new to the world of VEPro with v7, and am considering a server build with Windows Server (2016 or 2019). Does anyone have any good/bad summaries that they can share in regards to VEPro running on Windows Server (2016 or 2019) versus using Windows 10 Pro? While I am familiar with potential issues like driver compatibilities, bandwidth requirements, etc. that may sabotage an installation, I am looking more for some over-all satifaction levels with Windows Server; pros/cons, etc. Also, if something just flat-out doesn't work, I would like to know this, too.

    I plan on installing Komplete 12 on this server as well.

    Hi,

    I tried it once with Windows Server 2016 but it would not work because Windows Server was missing some needed components. Can't tell you if it will work on Win Server 2019, but if you have a machine that is too powerfull for Windows 10 Pro, you should take a look at the Windows 10 for Workstations. Is an upgrade for Win 10 Pro for machines with high memory and core count.

    Thanks, Ben, for the insight!

    I don't think that my machine is too powerful for Windows 10. I was just curious if using Windows Server would result in a more lean OS experience due to it not running all of the services that a desktop OS like Windows 10 would run.

    Just install the wlan service in windows server features.
