  • Huge Improvement on audio performance meter in Cubase

I noticed a huge improvement on audio performance meter of Cubase after upgrade to 7.

I am able now to work in my bigest template of 100 tracks (45gb-ram loaded) at 64 samples (total of 4ms latency) with no clicks and pops, my audio performance shows approx 20% max and cpu about 35%.

on VEP6 I could work without any clicks at 256 samples, cpu at 45% and audio performance meter at 50-70%.

    big difference

though some minor improvements have to be done from developers, its a very nice job.

  • That's awesome. What are the specs of your machine?

  • Thats great to hear!! I ran my own tests between VEP6 & VEP7 and personally did not see noticable improvements in performance, but that was a couple of versions ago. Plus I'm running Cubase on a Mac. Maybe I'll have to run the tests again.

Curious, are you using coupled or de-coupled instances? I know they made some pretty significant improvements for coupled instances which is great.
