  • Synchron plugin: short note without any articulation

I am new to the VSL ecology. I just bought the Synchron Secial Editions 1. I am trying to use it both with Logic Pro and Finale, both uptodate version, running An uptodate version of Mojave on a Mac Pro laptop. I will read up on Synchron soon, but I just want to get basic instruments up without worrying about articulations right now. I am having trouble getting itgoing in Finsle, but am dealing with that in another thread. In Logic, I loaded the Violin 1 instrument. It sounds great except for the short notes default to Staccato. I can change that to Detache, but I can’t find a way to get rid of both and just have short notes be sustained. What am I missing here?

  • Solved:

Well, I did say I was a newbie! I have solved this by realizing that the Synchron player is really just for people who are actually playing notes on a keyboard and changing the articulations on the fly. I am working from a score I created and am playing in Logic.

I set all the instruments to Legato and my immediate problem is solved. I will wait for the finale map file later this summer, so I can enjoy all the articulations!
