Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere, I’ve searched the manual, internet and forums, but couldn’t find an answer.
Is there a way to raise a plugin GUI in VEP from its corresponding track in your DAW, via the DAW? Rather than switching over to VEP and finding the plugin manually.
When you have a plugin instantiated on a track in your DAW, and you need to see its interface, you can click a button right there to bring it up.
With VEP, I love that I can assign a button on my MIDI controller to enable or disable a channel via the automation feature. I’d love to be able to raise a plugin interface the same way, rather than having to dig through instances, folders and channels to get there. But it appears that there’s no automation parameter for bringing a channel/plugin to the front.
Is there any other way to do this?

Hi juniperian,
You could use MIDI Activity Focus, which switches to the instrument that receives MIDI (on one channel only).

Thank you Paul. I’m hoping a Raise Plugin Window automation function can be added in an update.
The MIDI focus is cool, but it doesn’t open the instrument window if you’re in channel view. Even in instrument view, it sometimes doesn’t switch. And it’s helpful for my server computers, but on my DAW computer it switches apps away from my DAW to VEP every time I play my keyboard or a midi file, so I lose a lot of key command functionality until I manually return to my DAW, where I need to be most of the time.
It seems like the core functionality is already there in the app, between MIDI focus and the Raise Instance automation command, so it would be so helpful for a Raise Plugin Window parameter could be added to the list of automation commands for each channel. And please make it keep VEP in the background, instead to switching it to being the foreground app.
And if possible, some way to copy/paste automation functions across multiple channels. Assigning the same function to every channel (hundreds in my template) can get pretty time-consuming. :). I have a CC button on my controller to enable/disable each channel, which is great in use but takes a while to program.
