UPDATE (11/30/20):

I've finished twelve pieces of music using the VSL Synchron Pianos (mostly the Imperial) and I'd like to share them with all of you!  I'll put them up on Bandcamp eventually, but for now they reside on a YouTube playlist that I'll link below:

Enjoy!

Sam,

I personally liked the composition.  And I also liked your giving us an explanation of the piece in background.  It is nice to hear something different here.

Fantastic job.

Do you play the pieces or do you use the note editor? It doesn't matter, but it makes me curious.

Congratulations

It's a mix of both, really.  Most of the time I'd play something in to get the right feel or rhythm and then edit/tempo map to that.  For some of the extraordinarily difficult material I would note edit completely, and for some of the more improvisatory or rubato passages I would just record with little to no editing.  I was very inspired by advice on sequencing I received from Stephen Limbaugh a while back, as well as this post.

Thanks for the reply.

I know that thread, I also wrote in it and took note of what the colleague advised, but in my last exercise I have not achieved a good result, perhaps it is the same composition, which is poorly done.

I'm more or less good at simulating monophonic instruments, clarinet flutes, violins, etc ... but when it comes to simulating a piano, which is the only instrument I know how to play, not very well, really ;) I am fatal. I never believed that it was a virtual instrument that would bring me more problems.

I'll give you the link to my thread, maybe if you feel like it and it's not too much trouble, you have something valuable to tell me. Although I am afraid it is the same composition that is poorly done. Also, My synchron piano is a lite version, but I think that hiding there would be a poor excuse ;)

My post

PS: I have listened to all your pieces, they have very good taste, my sincere congratulations.
