    what do you mean by "dropdown folders"?

    Hmm, each 16 plus instruments have a 16 plus dropdown menu before it changes the port number to 2 nd usually ending at port 8 thus making the page easier to read insread of a single port showing 100 plus midi channels. Not easy to explain, sorry.

    you can rearrange the templates any way you like and if you read the thread I quoted, all the instructions are there for how you can properly create a new template based on AU3 from scratch in any track organization you like.  its not hard.

    ps - if you ask specific questions over on that other Logic Pro forum, its easier to post images and discuss your options or what you are wanting to accomplish in your template.

    Thanks, it is just the folders holding the tracks that I have trouble with.  I will read it again and hopefully find the answer, thanks again for your help. maybe the answer lies in Not selecting An Instrument Plugin before selecting  VEP as the instrument.
