    Is it possible to connect an audio interface with a microphone and record audio on the slave computer (VEP server) and send the audio out to the master computer's DAW in real time?

    Hi dhinkston, 

    The VE Pro Server does not record audio, it "only" processes it. 

    And you need to send a signal from a DAW to the VE Pro Server to have it processed and sent back to your DAW. So it's a closed system.

    Any recording has to happen on the DAW side. VEP has no 'arm to record' or record button.

    You may however send audio from the DAW to VEP via Audio Input, if your DAW supports the plugin; and I don't know why it wouldn't send the audio as it's being recorded but I can't be certain at the moment, there could be a hitch and your latency may make this a less-than-attractive m.o
