    If using the organ with instruments in MIR Vienna Konzerthaus, is it recommended to have no MIR on the organ since it was recorded in the hall? Also which mic setup for other instruments would be consistent with the original organ recording?

    In case of Vienna Konzerthaus - Great Hall it would make little sense indeed to use MIR for positioning and reverberation. Maybe a hint of MIRacle (or a similar algorithmic reverb) for "glue" and coherence ....?

    I employed a combination of two, sometimes three microphones for the samples used for Konzerthaus Organ, mostly the one at the conductor's position for definition, the ones in the back for nicer enveloping and reverb a.k.a. "release samples". ;-)

    thank you Dietz, I have been using the conductor's position slightly to dry, and MIRacle or my Lexicon hardware, so I am going to try that combination.
