  • MIR Pro and Multiple Projects/Same Positions

    Hey Dietz!

What do you think would be the best way to manage multiple songs/cues across different project files? I'm working on an album with a lot of live winds, brass, and strings, and I'd like to have them all use the same space, and ideally, the same exact stage position between tracks. I'm using MIR Pro as a plugin, and simply saving a layout for one session and opening it in another doesn't seem to do the trick.

    Thoughts?

  • Huh! My answer from hours ago disappeared, it seems. 8-0

I'll write it again: Please use you host's built-in plug-in preset management for individual Icon settings. Just be aware that he first instance of MIR Pro defines the output format (e.g. surround).

For managing plain Venue settings (without any instruments assigned, that is) you can also use MIR Pro's own file management to save and recall "MIR Engine Projects". That's available for MIR's "File > ..." pull-down menu in its main GUI.

    HTH,

  • Ah! Okay, so lets say I have a Violin (1) that I want always in the same place. I use the DAW/host plugin preset to save a "Violin 1" preset -- and each time I load that preset, no matter if its a new session (but same stage in external MIR), it should go back to the same physical place on stage. Interesting! Appreciate that!

  • Yes, actually it should be that simple. :-)
