  • Midi Note Messages Sent on Stop, Mute, Solo in Cubase

I'm dipping my toe back into VEPro (still using 6) and coming up against a small but annoying issue - everytime I hit the "Stop" button in Cubase, I hear an F1 on several of my instances. It also occurs when I hit the mute and solo buttons on midi channels connected to those instances.

Any idea what could be causing this?

I don't see the notes displayed in Midi Monitor when I connect it to one of the offending midi tracks.

I AM running a large number of Midi ports to each instance - 15 - maybe that has something to do with it?

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Hi 3r,

Check that all your routing is correct from Cubase to VEPro, and VEPro back into Cubase (i.e. all MIDI channels and MIDI ports match precisely per track/channel). I can't remember exactly what the specific routing problem was, but I experienced the very same "ghost" note triggering you've described, and it was a mismatched routing between the two programs that was the culprit.
