    Am I correct in thinking that I have to use the key switches everytime I need to change from, for example, a legato sustain to a detache?  I would then probably use duplicate track and put all KS there?

    Demoing SY dimension strings (which are great) but finding workflow not really happening as having to stop and work out which key switch etc

    Am I missing something obvious - me being thick aside!? 😃

    Cakewalk has a whole articulation management system for assigning KS, CC, etc. I don't use it myself, but know that it's there. Look up Articulation maps in the Cakewalk documentation

    Having played around with the demo for  few days it is really easy to use.

    You can add an articulation map, but my preferred way of using it is as follows:

    Duplicate recording track, say violin 1 (withought the notes) and call it KS or somesuch

    Record to violin track using a standard long or short - means you can be creative and not let the technical stuff get in the way

    Go to KS track and record whichever KS you'd like to happen i.e. stacc or spic
