  • I am unable to use my Synchon piano, surround version, in multichannel (5.1)

I am unable to use my Synchon piano, surround version, in multichannel (5.1) - the Steinway in my case, full version. I do not see how to assign each microphone to a single mono channel.

In fact, the stereo pan should be kept for the front left-right and rear left-right channels. But be in mono for the center and the sub. Complicated. Could VEP simplify the task?

The idea is to use all of the surround attributes of this piano. I can't see anything on the manual that explains how to attribute this. I work in Cubase (10.5) and Samplitude Pro X6.

    Thanks for helping.

  • I just tried it myself (using the Synchron Bluethner in Nuendo 11, but the principle should be the same):

    1. Make sure that you really installed the surround _content_ and the surround player

    2. Create an Instrument Track in Cubase for the Synchron Piano Player Surround plug-in, or a Rack Instrument in the VSTi-panel on the right

    3. Connect the Instrument Channel to a 5.1-output in Cubase

    4. Select one of the surround mixer presets in Synchron Piano Player.

... that should do the trick. If you're still facing problems it might be time to get in contact with VSL's support directly.

    Kind regards,

  • Hello Dietz. That's what I did from the beginning. But I want, for example, the x mic to come out on the back left and right channels. And let the microphone Y come out on the center. These are just examples.

    I do not see how.

  • I'm not in front of my DAW right now, but isn't that what the panner in Synchron Player's Mixer is supposed to do?
