    Hi, I am a mixer, I have no time to try out 6 roompacks before the end of the discount event. Because MIR PRO is more complicated than I thought  (I come from a non-English speaking country，I need more time to learn to use), So I don't want to easily judge whether the sound of a product is suitable for me. For the functions I have learned temporarily, it is part of the workflow that I need.

    Most of my mixing work is pop, rock, modern Bel Canto music (most of them only have strings), and occasionally some classical music and some film orchestral music. They are all real orchestral performances from various studios (they are relatively dry and do not have a good spatial sound).

    I checked a lot of materials and videos, I may need，

    Is roompack1 used for classical symphony?

    2 or 6 for pop or movie?

    What is the difference between 2Teldex and 6?

    If there are more than three that I want, I will directly buy the RoomPack Bundle, because the discount is very suitable. But I really don't want to increase the burden of my plug-in inventory. I just want to find a roompack suitable for my work. I have EW Spaces II, LX480, VSR S24, SP2016, R4, NIMBUS. . .

     

    I noticed something about the convenience of using VEP. I understand a little bit what VEP is, but I don’t understand how it provides convenience for MIR PRO? Isn’t it good to use MIR Pro to insert every track you need? There are better functions in combination with VEP? (My CPU is very good). These features are worth me to spend another €195 to buy VEP?

    thanks for your interest in MIR Pro! I know very well how hard it can be for us non-native speakers to move in a mostly English-spoken industry, so don't hesitate to ask if you have any specific questions.

    Picking out a specific RoomPack is a bit like asking an arranger to limit himself to strings or woodwinds only: That might work to a certain extent, but s/he would miss a lot of beautiful colours of the orchestra ;-) Mixing is my main profession, too, and I have been using all MIR Pro Venues in different context with great results.

    If I were really tight on a budget I would choose Synchron Stage Vienna, the Pernegg Monastery and The Sage Gateshead (i.e. RoomPacks 4, 5 and 6). That way you should be able to cover pretty all typical mixing situations. But believe me - in the end you will get them all. ;-)

    The difference between RoomPack 2 (Teldex Berlin) and 6 (Synchorn Stage Vienna) is about the same as the difference between a Steinway and a Boesendorfer: Both are world-class grand pianos, but still they serve different tastes and tasks.

    Regarding VE Pro: As long as you don't work with Vienna Instruments a lot, MIR Pro won't benefit a lot from using it as a host. The plug-in version (which doesn't offer the same tight integration with other VSL products) will do perfectly fine.

    Hi, Dietz, thank you, I basically only use them for strings, woodwinds, brass, and some percussion, so there is no need for small rooms, and there is no need for multiple rooms to choose from.

    Just for popular string music, occasionally classical orchestra, film orchestra. Import templates quickly and set them up quickly.

     

    So I think I should get pack1 and pack2. I like 2Teldex and 6, but I occasionally need classical music, so I also need pack1.

     

    In fact, the current combination of discounts and coupons is very tempting. If I buy 3 packs, it will be equal to the price of 6pack Bundle. If I buy 2 packs, I only need to add $200 to get the other 4 packs.

     

    I need to continue the trial and think about whether I really need them all. Another reason why I hesitate to buy all is that I am confident in the MIR 3D that is being developed (but I don't have much information). So I want to solve them once and for all, and forbid future new products to choose again.
