More choice and different nuances for your woodwind section with Flute 2, Clarinet in Bb 2, Oboe 2 and Bassoon 2!

Check out the audio demos, with Erik Snopko delivering the first example that highlights our second soloists and the whole Synchron Orchestra: Leaving Hogwarts, by John Williams. MORE TO COME!

With best wishes from Vienna 🎉

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for the update! When I play some notes with the fast legato patch of the Clarinet in Bb 2, I can hear some weird noises. Is it normal? Here is an audio example.

    Best,
    David

  • Hi David!

I have checked with our editing team. The fast legato patches are made for playing fast legato lines. When playing at slower speed, there may occur unwanted artifacts. I'm sorry to say that they can't be edited out from our side. If these artifacts bother you in an arrangement, please use the normal legato articulation instead.

    Best regards,
    Andi

  • Hi Andi,

Thanks for your reply. I played slowly so you can hear the artifacts. I'll do what you said. Thanks.

    Best,
    David

  • I just want to say, that I love the Synchron Woodwinds.

Right now I'm working on a piece for oboe, violin, cello and piano. And I use here the second oboe. A beautiful sound and possibilities for subtile expression, all very natural sounding. Perfect legato and possibilities for use of vibrato and non vibrato tones, all in very smooth transitions. And by using the close mic and and stereo mid mic the oboe can sound quite intimate. The SYNCHRON-ized woodwinds are really good, but the Synchron Woodwinds have something extra for subtile expression.

And when I listen to the subtile expression of the Synchron oboes, I think secretly: should there be a momentum for Synchron solo strings....??

Hi MMKA, I just finished a 20 minute string quartet commission, to be played by a real quartet, but couldn't help but do a VSL solo strings performance of it, and I think it might be the most convincing "mock up" I've ever done. I can only imagine what a new Synchron solo strings could do. Sadly, it will have to remain a fantasy. Good luck to you on your new oboe chamber piece. Looking forward to hearing it if you choose to share it on the forum. Cheers! Dave
