The program is not listed as not convertible in the iLok intro article. But on the My Product page it says I cannot upgrade to iLok. Probably makes sense as all its content cannot get updated either.
Not all of its features have been ported to the Synchron Player. Will the latter get an update or a Pro version?
Pro 2 goes to iLok, there is no problem. What that actually means is non-Pro does not travel to iLok and is no longer included with libraries, Pro is. All of the VI content makes it to iLok; the original Vienna Suite does not, VI non-pro is automatically converted to Pro.

They're doing away with the distinction pro vs not. Will Synchron get things like slot crossfade etc, who knows.
the assumption no VI content travels to iLok is 100% wrong.
