    After downloading my iLok encrypted versions of my libraries, VEP crashes every time I initiate playback of a project in my DAW (Digital Performer 11). I have double checked to be sure all the correct libraries are in place and that all settings are as they should be. I must be missing something, but I can't figure that out. 

    There were no problems working with the project in question before the download of the iLok versions of the libraries.

    I'm pretty much out of ideas as to what to try next. (I've contacted VSL support, but haven't got a reply yet). Anyone else with this problem? Anyone suggest next steps?

    The initial release of the new iLok versions did not support the MAS versions of the plugins used by most people in Digital Performer. Your project would report all of those plugin instances as "missing" if you could have gotten past the crash. I imagine they are working on fixing it. You will have to revert back to the eLicenser versions of the programs and libraries, as installing using the iLok-oriented Vienna Assistant will only replace your Synchron player and libraries with the iLok-only versions.

    This is astounding and sad news for me. I have downloaded and REPLACED all my old versions with iLok versions without realizing the problem with MAS. I have a very large number of libraries that are now erased to make room for the iLok versions which I presumed had been thoroughly tested. There were no warnings from VSL that I saw regarding the MAS versions. Did they post that somewhere that I should have seen.

    Not sure what my next steps are.

    No, there was no announcement to my knowledge. I was the first to bring it up in the forums. Paul at Vienna was led to believe that there was a fix in a version released in early April, but it only fixed things somewhat for Mac users (making several matters worse than the eLicenser version), and I've not seen any posts regarding success of any kind for Windows users, so I will avoid attempting to update for at least this next year. All the eLicenser versions work just fine.

    Do NOT try to install the Futanaro Flute freebie, as it only installs via the Vienna Assistant and that installation will break your Synchron Player if still using the eLicenser versions.

    I just was made a bit more courageous by another poster here, and applied the update to my Windows 10 machine, and he was correct in that MANY of the problems were fixed with the latest update, including the MAS plugins being installed now.

    There also is a new update out today for Digital Performer v 11.1 and I installed that as well. DP 11.04 had many issues with Windows 11 and Native Instruments S-series keyboards not working correctly, so I am hoping this DP 11.1 update addresses that. 

    Let me know if you encounter issues, but do try your new installation but be sure it is done with the latest versions in the Vienna Assistant.
