    Hi,

    Having a bit of an issue with the Synchron Player and the Strings Collection.  Whenever I use the master volume knob to set a level, it will reset on project load. 

    I can replicate this with:

    Synchron Strings 1, Pro, Elite and FX:

    Free BBO

     

    This doesn't happen with these libraries/patches:

    Prime

    Free Celestial Strings

    Free Harp Glissandos

    Free Soft Imperial

     

    They're all default patches.  Master volume is assigned to CC7 in all of them.  This is happening in multiple DAWs.  Is this working as intended or am I not doing something correctly?

    Hello fakemaxwell, 

    Just tried to reproduce this with SY Elite Strings in Logic Pro on macOS Big Sur 11.6.5 and Synchron Player 1.2.124. 

    No troubles at all.

    What are reliable steps to reproduce this?

    Also: Did you check that this is not happening because a connected MIDI device is sending MIDI CC at full value (try disconnecting all MIDI devices)?

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for the response.  Here is an imgur link to screen recordings of three different DAWs with the same behavior: https://imgur.com/a/mrtXIZV

    I checked the MIDI inputs. Whether disabled or enabled it makes no difference.  I also unlearned the CC7 input for the master volume to see if that would solve it.  Unfortunately, it still resets even though there's no MIDI CC assigned.

    I'm on Windows 10, Synchron Player 1.2.124.

    I've managed to replicate the problem you're describing in Reaper, Studio One and Cubase in Windows 10.  It's worth noting that this might not happen with all Synchron libraries.  In my case, I tried Synchron-ized Special Edition 2 Chamber violins and it worked fine, but the problem is present in Big Bang Orchestra Altair.

    Steps to reproduce:  (Windows 10 Pro, Synchron Player 1.2.124)

    1 - Start empty project
    2 - Load Synchron Player
    3 - Load BBO-Altair Velxf-sus
    4 - Raise CC7 to max
    5 - Save Project then close it
    6 - Open the saved project
    7 - CC7 value will not have been saved and is set to default

    I can replicate this with Studio One on Windows 11. Happens at least with Synchron Perc (e.g. Bass Drum, Low Drums). Synchron Woodwinds Flute 2. BBO Strings. Happens not with Synchron Piano (in my case Bösendörfer Imperial).
