  • Dorico new update 4.3 cannot connect with instance of VEPro 7 new update 7.1.1427

    Hi there,

I just did both VEP 7 and Dorico new updates today. Dorico cannot connect to an already loaded instance in VEPro. If I start a new Dorico project and try to connect to a loaded instance, I get the following :

    1. VEP opens an new empty instance named after the last letters of the instance I'm trying to connect to. So if I try connecting with an instance names "Untitled 2", VEP will created a new instance called "tled 2" instead.

    2. If I try disconnecting from the newly created instance and try to reconnect with the aimed instance, I then get this channel incompatibility message

    "CONNECTION FAILED

Could not connect to "192.168.2.2. [64] (Untitled 2)" because the channel configuration of master and slave do not match.

Make sure to connect to an instance with the same channel configuration."

Everything always worked fine before and since both programs were updated at the same time, I don't know where the problem is coming from. Some Dorico users had no problems using VEP with Dorico's new update, but to my knowledge, none of them had done the VEP update yet.

Dorico is on a iMac late 2013 running Catalina 10.15.7

    Librairies are on a PC running Windows 10. AMD Ryzen 9 5900x 12 core 3.70 64G ram

    All on internal SSDs

    Thanks!

  • Hi!

Could you please let us know if the problem persists when using the same VE Pro version on both machines?

    Kind regards,
    Andreas
