  • Vienna Assistant failing to install/update

    Hello there,

I have been having issues with the Vienna Assistant. It successfully installed my Synchron-ized Special Edition Vol. 1, but it has not been able to install the Synchron Piano Player successfully. Whenever I initiate the installation, I watch the progress bar reach 100%, at which point it appears to re-set and the "Install" button becomes blue again. The same issue occurs when I attempt to install the update for the Synchron Player.

Is this a known issue and can anyone help me resolve it?

    Hi hansully,

Which OS are you working on?

And how is your destination drive formatted? It shouldn't be FAT 32 or exFat.

    Best,
    Paul

  • Hello Paul,

Thanks very much for the reply. I have an update: now the Synchron Piano Player is working within my DAW when it previously was not, even though the Vienna Assistant still says I need to install it. I wonder if the issue is stemming from the fact that the player itself is still on my internal hard drive but my download location is directed toward the external? Could this also be why the Synchron Player is not updating?

To answer your questions, though, I am running Mac 10.14.6 and I am installing to an external drive formatted APFS.

  • Hi,

The player is always installed on the system drive.

Sample content can be stored anywhere, best on your fastest drive.

I think it would be best if you sent us a few screenshots, so we can see what you see: support@vsl.co.at, with a link to this thread!

@Bill: NTFS is of course fine for all Windows systems.

    Best,
    Paul
