  • Herb, a respectful suggestion that would help

    Herb,

After playing with the discount calculator - there might be a simple adjustment that would be easy to make and would help your long time users a bit.

Would it be too much to ask that those who own both the 1st edition AND the pro edition get an extra little savings?

When I click on the 1st addition (after checking pro and a whole lot of horizon boxes!) it does not change the discount.
And I think here is exactly were the rub is for some of us.

Checking the horizon strings box subtracts $680 from the total.
Perhaps as a thank you to your early adopters who bought both the 1st edition and pro editions, that same amount could count be an additional discount.

Just a bit of love for your early evangelists.

And a request to subsequent posters...... Herb's been a gentleman over the past few days. I make this post with all due respect. Feel free to agree or disagree with this idea let's just keep it on the nice side of things please. And thanks in advance to all who post either way and especially to the VSL team for reading and perhaps considering this.

  • ed, the thing is: first edition users could upgrade for the difference to the pro edition (means it costed the same as if they had purchased the pro instantly) - same is valid for opus 1 to the pro. therefore no discounts can be applied additionally.
if i check pro and buy the SC i get 4.560 $, if i add the solo strings i get 4.755 $ discount (same thing here: pro edition users could purchase the HOR solo strings for 145 $ IIRC) - so i think it's pretty fair

ps: please let me know if something looks wrong or strange to you - there are several thousands combinations and of course one or another might be not taken into consideration or typos for the prices could have happened

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

    Exactly the point.
VIP no longer means that we can upgrade for the difference instantly.

The people most offended by VIP are those that have been with you a long time.
Recognition of this fact is NOT apparent under the current VIP system.

I was just politely suggesting a method for VSL to acknowledge your long time user base. Those of us who have been with you all along, happily upgrading via VIP.

VIP no longer means what it used to.
    This is the problem.

Are you guys really not understanding this?
