    Use Chamber strings twice.

    May one ask why?

becuase a chamber section doubled sounds like ... a 2 chamber strings sections!! I want to take a chord and break it up over a violin section and retain the balance of that section. The reason for the poll is to generate interest.

Fair enough, so what is the solution that you want? I don't really understand how else one could do this apart from having two smaller sections. Of course you could mix a little Chamber String (or Solo String) with the full section as this will make it sound like a smaller number are playing.
