Until such time as VSL get their act together on VST3 support, you might want to take a look at Metaplugin from DDMF.  https://ddmf.eu/metaplug...vst-au-rtas-aax-wrapper/

The VST2 version of this wrapper, when used in VEPro7, is successfully able to host VST3 plugins including Kontakt 7 multis, which require multiple MIDI inputs and multiple audio outputs.

I bench-tested Metaplugin today and have been able to easily setup large Kontakt 7 multis in VEPro7

It provides for plugin Delay Compensation and offers up to x16 oversampling if needed and facilitates support for plugin parameter automation.

For $59 you can install it on all your networked servers and the supplier provides responsive Customer Support.

There is a Demo version available, but you can only save the plugin settings in your session with the Full version.

It will suffice for the VST2-VST3 transition.

2.Kontakt 7 VST3 only? 11/9/2022 9:34:33 PM

There is a solution that I bench-tested today, that will enable VST3 FX & VI plugins to be hosted within VEPro7.

This solution will allow you to host multi-MIDI input & Multi-audio outputs, such as reqiuired when hosting multiple instruments in Kontackt 7 within VEPro7.

This solution also offers Delay Compensation and up to 16x oversampling.

You can save all parameters in the DAW session, as you would nornmally do.

All for $59.00 and great customer support too !!

Check it out with the demo (does not allow session saving in demo mode, but it works 100% for me in the full version)

Problem solved !!

3.Kontakt 6.6 VST3 in VEP7 6/13/2022 6:21:24 PM
I have some good news for those who might need to host VST3 plugins in VE Pro7.   I had tried to use Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork, but it was not 100% successful.   I tested DDMF Superplugin which I can confirm works 100% with VE Pro 7 on Windows platforms. There is a Mac version too.
There is a Demo version available, for those who want to road-test it before buying, currently priced at £45.00 + VAT = £54.00   I tested it with Toontrack's eZdrummer 3 and iZotope's Neutron 4 with no issues.

DDMF Superplugin also has an added bonus, in that is capable of x2 x4 x8 and x16 oversampling for those who might need it to combat aliasing with non-linear processing.

More details here:

4.Kontakt 6.6 VST3 in VEP7 5/19/2022 8:53:22 PM

For those currently hosting VST Superior Drummer 3 in VE Pro 7.

Toontrack recently upgraded their EZdrummer 2 to EZdrummer 3. It is worthy of note that this upgrade is only available in VST3 format (and AAX & AU).

Toontrack have said that their Dev Team have moved from VST to VST3 for EZdrummer 3.

Whilst Toontrack will not commit themselves to an unambiguous statement. It is likely that any future upgrades to Superior Drummer 3 are likely to follow suit. A sure sign of things to come.

VSL; Has there been any real progress on the VE Pro 7 VST3 hosting front?

Thanks.
