1.Dorico - Jazz articulations with SYNCHRON-ized SE? 5/12/2022 3:22:04 PM

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way in Dorico to program jazz articulations like scoops, falls, doits, etc. to play back with the SYNCHRON-ized SE libraries. For a scoop for example, I was hoping that in my expression map I could assign it as an add-on to trigger a pitch bend up to the note. I'm guessing this isn't possible and will need to be drawn in as there's both a pitch and a time component to this, but just wanted to see if anyone had figured a way to do this automatically with expression maps. Thanks!

2.VE Pro 6 Project Not Opening in VE Pro 7 3/25/2022 12:59:16 PM

Same thing here. I found that if I opened my old projects in the iLok VEPro but still had the old dongle plugged in, then they would open. If I then saved them in the iLok version then they would reopen fine without the dongle. Not sure if that's the same experience for everyone, but it at least helped me get all my old projects converted.

3.[SOLVED] "The project you are trying to load is invalid" after upgrade to 7.0.1113 3/24/2022 1:36:01 PM

I had the exact same issue. I found that if I opened an old project in the new iLok version of VEP but still had the dongle plugged in, then it would open. After saving it in the new version, then it would open again without the dongle. It seems like the old projects might be looking for the eLicenser somehow, but after saving them in the iLok version, they seem to work ok.

4.VEPro 7 won't install on Windows 11 Pro 3/23/2022 6:43:23 PM

I still could never install those .dlls, but VEPro seems to be working. I got it to work with Dorico 4 at least. I seem to have the versions from the old pre-iLok version still installed. Servus_vepro.dll has a date of 11/23/2021 on my system. I haven't tested everything, but I think VEPro is working even though the installer failed.

5.VEPro 7 won't install on Windows 11 Pro 3/23/2022 6:14:11 PM

I just was migrating everything over to iLok, but it seems impossible to install VEPro 7. When I try to do it using Vienna Assistant (using Run as Administrator) it appears to download, but then nothing happens. If I change Vienna Assistant to "Download-Only Mode" and run the installer (again as Administrator) the following files result in errors during the installation:

WINDOWS\SysWOW64\Servus_vepro.dll
WINDOWS\SysWOW64\veproshared32.dll
WINDOWS\system32\Servus_vepro.dll
WINDOWS\system32\veproshared64.dll

I've tried changing the system permissions for those two folders, but it still won't work. Is anyone else using Win11 Pro? (Build 22000) The Synchron players and my libraries installed fine, it's just VEPro 7 that seems impossible to install.

6.Dorico Expression Maps and Playback Templates for SYNCHRON-ized Special Editions 12/1/2020 3:39:54 AM

Hi all, I'm pretty new to VSL but love working with the new Dorico Playback Template. Obviously this is user-editable, but I really think all VSL Dorico Expression Maps should have an Init value set so CC#28 is turned on. Most users of notation software are going to expect hairpins to play back. I know it's more system intensive, but most users that are accustomed to working with notation rather than MIDI are going to assume that these are functional.
