I understand one simple thing; processing load in logic 8 dual quad core system should be LOWER, not HIGHER compared to an inferior dual dual-core system.

Well, just got my 8-core system to match my V8 car... :)

Seriously, checked my Macpro dual quadcore 2.8 (8gb ram) against against the video tutorial (SE demo). Shows the same or even more load on the processors than on the dual dual-core system used in the vid. I seriously doubt that logic uses all of the resources available... Checked logic 7.2 with the same setup showing only 4 cores. Seems like the same load on the processors. (25% on 4 cores instead of 25% on 8 cores). Anyone??

In this case, yes, I don't think he wants to spend money on something that he doesn't need. You could buy Appassionata full library and Special Edition Standard and still have change...

When it comes to cars, that's a different matter. I drive a BMW 540i. Worth every gallon... :)

The increase in speed would probably be more in the neighborhood of 8-10 times your dual G5!

No way I would buy a 3.2ghz. Total waste of money in my opinion. Buy the 2.8 dual quad core. Put the rest of the money on the bank (or buy more Vienna Instruments) and wait for the next major Mac upgrade. Feel lucky.

Yeah, it's too bad... You would only need to "unlock" the necessary samples on your drive. Why is'nt that a possible upgrade??

Just purchased the SE library and I can say that I'm really impressed! The playability is outstanding and the sound awesome! Really like the way you've got the 'big size' early rerflections and no reverb! Impressive!

I'm one of those who does composing, producing and engineering and would like to know if I'm hitting a dead end with the 'Plus' librarys? Are you gonna offer discounts or upgrading paths to the full librarys??
