I’m sorry but I still don’t understand, actually more confused now. Are there two different reverbs going on and what is controlling what reverb? Also, what’s the difference with these two reverbs?

Here is the documentation of the implemented FX Reverbs you can insert in the mixer.

nd this is the "standard" reverb we started with in the first version of Synchron Pianos (constantly improving our software for you).

This piano was recorded at Stage B in Synchron Stage Vienna, with multiple mics. More info on that in the Bösendorfer Upright Manual.

Best,
Paul

Absolutely, Paul. I just don't understand what the 3 different reverb knobs are doing. The one on the Play page seems to adjust the fader of the reverb FX channel on the Mix page. So that means that that knob is connected to the FX channel? But what about the Reverb level, decay, PreDly, Damp to the right of the mixer. Is that a second reverb?

3.Can someone explain the reverbs in the Bösendorfer Upright 11/30/2020 11:36:23 PM
I’m a bit new to the Synchron pianos and haven’t found a manual for the Bösendorfer Upright.

There are 3 places to adjust the reverb in the piano player and they all seem to be running as default on most presets. One on the Play page, one on the Mix page as well as one in a separate mixer channel. Was this one recorded in a completely dry space so that there are just added reverb to it and what are the various reverbs going on here?

Thanks Paul, don’t let a couple of people stop your inspiration and hard work.
5.VE Pro 7 and Epic Orchestra 2.0 3/12/2019 3:46:06 AM
Just to add a little perspective to this... it might appear as if there’s been a massive uproar about the upgrade but remember that this thread consists of complaints from about 10 people, and some of them repeating over and over. So I don’t think Paul and Vienna is too concerned.

Unless you’re 85 years old, how can you not be satisfied with getting VEP for 299+extra licenses forever with no new costs?
We already have VEPro forever. Subscription s/w is a pain in the arse. I don't get why YOU think it's so great. If I didn't know better I'd think you were another Sandy @AOC (Google it).
You have VEP 6 forever indeed, but today you have to pay for an upgrade every time so With a perpetual license you wouldn’t have to. There’s no reason to be skeptical about that.
Having a perpetual license has NOTHING to do with not paying for upgrades. Would love to know where you got your interpretation of what a perpetual license is. No company that wants to stay in business and make a profit would follow your model.

Oh yes, many do.
I was just suggesting a solution since 10 people have complained about the new prices.
Many do what? Follow your model? Care to tell us who they are? There's no one in music s/w that does what you're proposing. Your 'solution' makes no sense because you keep conflating having a perpetual license with not having to pay for program updates/upgrades.

FL Studio is a great example.
But I don’t think VSL will change their prices because of a few complaints, but let’s see.

Well, there we are back with "forever" (which is a nice thougt) & the question: What happens when Herb T. retires? ;)
In other words: How long is forever?

What do you think?

It’s very flexible and you can buy a perpetual license if you please.

Hi @Paul (if I may),

I suggest the following price plan:

VEP 7 - One license - 1-Year subscription: € 129

For each additional license: € 29

VEP 7 - One license - Perpetual license: € 399

For each additional license: € 59

Meaning no extra charge for VEP7, VEP8, and so on (unless you increase these prices gradually though)

Already own VEP 6? VEP 7 - One license - 1-Year subscription: € 99 (first year only)

or each additional license: € 19

Already own VEP 6? VEP 7 - One license - Perpetual license: € 299

For each additional license: € 39

I'm sure someone will complain anyway, but just do it! I think it's more sustainable.

Depends on the used reverb-plugin.

How to set everything up is up to you and what you want to achieve.
If you need 3 reverbs, create 3 FX-Bus in your DAW and send the instruments or the sum of them to the reverbs (easiest solution imo).

Yes, so in my case I want to send single instruments to the reverb while having buses/groups of instruments sent to the DAW for further mixing. So I wanna send the instruments from VEP6 to the DAW reverb, or?

Best, Ben

OK, so create a reverb bus in my DAW and send from each instrument in VEP to that specific output? Will this add any latency?

edit: to be more specific I want to create 3 reverb buses: Early reflections close, ER mid and ER far. for all the dry libraries. So I want to create 3 buses in my DAW and send from VEP to 3 unique outputs, right?

The final glue reverb will be all be done in the DAW.

17.Reverb routing/VEP6 3/3/2019 11:20:56 AM
I have about 25 instances in VEP and I can’t have 25 instances of the reverb (Spaces 2) because of the RAM usage. Is it possible to send to one reverb instance between the instances in VEP? Or can I have the same reverb in my DAW instead and send from each VEP instrumen to the daw?

Do you still believe that?
19.VE Pro 7 and Epic Orchestra 2.0 3/2/2019 8:56:40 PM
My suggestion: In addition to a discount on upgrading the main license, sell the additional licenses to owners of VEP 6 for €20. It will be closer to the previous upgrade price for 3 licenses and still justify a general cost increase and the new features and everyone would be happy.

Although I agree with you on some things, this has been explained to you several times now: VEP7 does not work with VEP6 so if you upgrade one license you can’t use the other ones, thus you’re loosing what you had.
21.VE Pro 7 and Epic Orchestra 2.0 2/28/2019 1:03:49 AM
1) Yes, sometimes prices increases, as also the value of a dollar or euros does.
2) Do you usually get customized products when you buy something? Do you criticize Apple because you can’t choose to not have the stupid apps like iMovie and thus pay less for your Mac? Does it help telling Apple you don’t need it? Or do you get your DAWs cheaper by saying no thanks to the sounds it comes with?

I’d try to treat Paul et al with a little bit more respect.
22.VE Pro 7 and Epic Orchestra 2.0 2/19/2019 5:42:57 PM
Come on guys, give them the chance to announce it before you start nagging and complaining? It’s OK to ask questions, I did too, but try to relax a little.
23.VE Pro 7 and Epic Orchestra 2.0 2/18/2019 6:59:44 PM

Awesome, congratulations!

Will VEP7 work as a multi-port plugin in Logic Pro X?

24.What’s the best processor for VEP? 1/24/2019 1:08:02 AM
I wonder if anyone at VSL or other users have recommendations on a great processor for running VEP? I know
some processors are better than others on multi-core vs. single-core plug-ins and that it’s not just about cores and speed. I’ve been looking at th i9-9900k and preferably not anything much more expensive than that.
25.What computer do I need to use VEP with 500 instruments? 1/22/2019 6:41:20 PM

For a standard symphonic orchestral template, a similar template as you describe could be possible. My template is built to write in many different genres and for the type of music I like to write. My point about Wagner and Mahler was that we don't know how their template would look if they had a computer and were writing for TV. So what's common among TV composers is a bit more relevant than what they did. But it all comes down to what music and what methods we like. And my wish is to have a computer that can handle all of it. My problem is not to to find out what template I can have on the computer I already have.
