1.VEP 6 stops at 29% while loading Logic X Template 8/17/2016 7:28:51 PM

Hello Paul,

while loading my template on my PC (Slave) VEP6 freezes at 29%.

I'm running VEP6 with a Master-Mac (10.9.5) and Slave PC (Win7/SP1).

The former version VEP5 was loading everything without problems.

I installed VEP6 on both machines and updated VI-Pro on PC.

I even updates eLicense on both machines.

Starting from scratch works. But loading old projects does not work

Did I forget anything? Why doesn't it continue?

By the way: there are mostly VSL-Instruments in my templates. I use four instances for strings, woodwinds, percussions and brass. In the first instance there is  Kontakt with Cinematic-Strings 2.0 as well. Is the non-VSL-content the problem?

I hope, I don't have to rebuild all my templates for VEP6

 all the best,

Martin

3.Dimension Strings CELLOS are ready for you!! 6/30/2013 11:43:21 AM

Here is a demo of music i was writing for a computer-game. Its mostly made with Apassionata with Dimension-Violins on top. But there are also some Orchestralstrings involved. Maybe im going to add Dimension Cellos next week.

5.suche jemanden, der mir die Bedienung der VSL in Logic schnell beibringen kann / Raum Köln... 6/5/2013 7:57:54 PM

6.2012: VI PRO Remote App is available NOW! 11/24/2012 3:44:39 PM

After Installing the new Versions of VI Pro and VEP5 i cant see the VI Pro Interface in the VEP anymore. When i installed the newest Versions it said, that there are no VIs in the VEP anymore. Do i have to reconstruct all VI-Instruments in Logic now? And how do i use the MIR now?

7.Any tips on how best to combine other strings with VSL VI? 9/23/2006 12:22:47 AM
Compared to several arrogant postings here, i'm calm.

It is obvious that the examples you posted sound much better, but they are not programmed with simple matrices.
And i think there is more work in it than one or two days.
The workshops task was to show a beginner what he should try first, before he uses big setups.
The example for experts with much more technical effort wil be released in one of the next issues.
The solo could have a little bit more of "esprit", i concede. But you are much more limited with articulations on the stradivari.

Its not pedagogicaly clever to begin a workshop about a new product with very complicated tricks, so be patient.
8.Dropouts with VI on Laptop, Multiface + USB2 Drives 9/22/2006 8:18:49 PM
After Reinstalling Plogue Bidule and switching from a hardware-midi-interface to Midi-over-LAN the clicks are gone. Is there a special reason for not being errorfree with hardware-midi-interfaces?
9.Any tips on how best to combine other strings with VSL VI? 9/22/2006 8:04:06 PM
The workshop in sound&recording about garritan&vienna instruments was written for an easy approach to the complexity of Vienna instruments: the author wanted to explain the principles of building simple matrices without overextending the interested reader.
The workshop was not for super-experts with undiscussible knowledge of taste Confused
Would be more interesting to read, what in the demo was not good in your opinion, than to play the Pro-Composer in Internetforums, who is not reliant on writing reviews.
Try to do it better and post it.

a musical moron
10.Dropouts with VI on Laptop, Multiface + USB2 Drives 9/14/2006 10:24:58 PM
Hello Forum,

i just set up my VI-Instruments. They are distributed to three machines:

The first machine is a PPC G5 2x2Ghz with 4GB RAM. The Strings and Percussion VIs run on Logic feeding a RME Hammerfall. Everything works fine on this machine.

The second computer is a PC 3.2 Ghz wit 2GB RAM a RME-Multiface and Plogue Bidule. All Woodwinds are streamed from fast USB2- Harddisks.
There are no dropouts.

The third machine is a laptop. It is a Futjitsu Siemens Amilo 1425 (1.7 Ghz) with 1 GB RAM and a Multiface via PCMCIA-Cardbus. All Brasssounds are played with Plogue Bidule here from a fast USB2-Harddisk.
The third machine produces dropouts and clicks. Machine number two has nearly the same conditions. What makes the difference here? Especially solo-legatosounds (horn, trumpet) tend to have more dropouts than other sounds. That makes no sense for me?! Confused
The defragmented USB2 Disk is directly connected to the computer. The Vienna-Key is plugged into a usb hub. The Win-XP System is installed very slim: just the audio-drivers, Plogue Bidule and VI. thats all.
Would a firewiredisk make a big difference?
