It really doesn't look good now — Cf. linked image — for a high-priced products company.

The demo I've been running lately on my brand new Mac Studio clearly presents pops and glitches when I run even a small session. Compare to other software and libs, that's awkward; but maybe not… if you add Rosetta to the equation.

Now every time I want to buy a VSL product, I'm very hesitant: for instance, I could be on the verge of jumping for MIR … but… Will I regret putting an extra 1K in this company in 6 months?

What generated this list of what plugins are running AS native, or not, in your system?

I came across this today and remembered where I first saw it...

are there any realistic alternatives?? The lack of urgency is intolerable.

Cavatina from "The Deer Hunter" (Stanley Myers)

Concierto de Aranjuez ( Rodrigo)

It's a function of the 'blockbuster' mentality which began with Jaws but really took off with the Simpson/Bruckheimer films, a generic product that communicates to a fairly low common demonimator. You're going to find a lot of these type of scores around, but if you poke around you'll find stuff to enjoy as well...
Also as mentioned don't forget that you are generally writing to a brief given by non musicians who often want stuff they can understand.

In the copies of his scores that I have there is a legend at the front which describes each of his notational symbols.
